Concept Recharge

The Volvo Concept Recharge is a high-riding electric wagon that previews the design direction for the all-electric future for the Swedish automaker's. The concept debuts Volvo’s new design language with a shield-like front and signature vertical rear lamps. The concept also debuts a new emphasis on technology through features like the prominent lidar sensor on the roof. The Concept Recharge is designed to showcase how Volvo’s design will change for pure electric cars True to Scandinavian design it is built on a ‘less but better’ philosophy

My responsibilities started with participated in the early strategy and design exploration to building inspirational sculptures. I worked with design, creating the initial concept models through surface development with engineering for the Final concept model. I supported daily design reviews, global VR evaluations. I Worked as acting manager at the Camarillo studio and helped structure, guide and direct the Digital Design team. creating a clear path for communication and collaboration. The final design was chosen from a global design competition and has since influenced the design of many cars.
